The studio projects will directly confront the principles outlined above. The studio begins with an intensive Design Analysis project. The underlying conceptual components of honorific houses are regarded as archetypal investigations of ARCHITECTURE. The principles discovered in the design analysis act as generators for two design synthesis projects, both having identical space programs (constant), but radically different site conditions(variable) located in a fictional urban context. Design Synthesis Project 1 will be a plan driven, horizontal, single story proposal. Design Synthesis Project 2 will be a section driven, vertical, multistory proposal. The program is an Exhibition Facility.
