1. The project statement of intent.
It contains two parts: an essay of 300 to 350 words (with 3 to 5 key words on top or bottom of your essay), which should explain your design concept and purpose; a conceptual diagram that depicts the design concept. Both the essay and the diagram should be printed on 8.5 by 11 paper. Here is a great example of a statement of intent: Darwin Center in London by C.F.Møller Architects. The conceptual diagram is below and the original inspiration is a "cocoon", which represents "life", "protection" and "nature".

If you are using color for this diagram, please carefully pick your color combination - try and use transparency and less saturated colors (this will help your diagram look more professional).
