Please refer back to the 10 sketches (tracing over the ten images) and 4 matrix (diagram and model matrix) we did a week ago. I want you to bring back those well developed concepts you had into the floor plan design, especially the ones you had for your model matrix. The point here is to incorporate and modify the fragments/episodes of spatial experiences (from the model matrix) into a building system (our current building design). Remember "points, lines and planes"? It is ok to have some angles and dynamic curves. I want to see that you are bringing the spirit of your instrument back to your building.
While you relate back to your original concepts, I want you to keep exploring your design through floor plan design and 3d model manipulation. Please do not put too much effort on the roof design, just let it happen naturally. At the same time, you need to keep refining your floor plan drawing. By the end of the Friday class, you are required to submit a modified and refined version of your floor plan. Print out at 1/8"=1-0" scale on 11x17" paper. Please label each space with name and square footage.
